Maternity Session in Bloomington, Indiana

I love taking trips down to my alma mater, especially when it involves a maternity photography session with old friends! I photographed Stephen and Megan’s engagement photos in 2019 and was beyond thrilled to capture another milestone in their lives.

Indiana University and the surrounding areas are especially beautiful in the fall. We stopped at Griffey Lake and a local trail that lead to a waterfall to celebrate Megan’s maternity glow.

I took several images of Stephen spinning Megan and created a gif of the moment. I love making little videos such as these for my clients!

The walk to the waterfall was no more than a 2 minute walk. When you’re in your third trimester, this is vital to the success of the photoshoot!

I also found out that Megan had been making her baby clothes by hand! She owns a Cricut and showed me the future wardrobe. It was so sweet!

We had our own wardrobe change and moved locations to capture the glowing sun at Griffey lake.

The sweetest surprise was that Stephen reached out to plan this entire shoot. He didn’t want Megan to stress over anything and even took part in the location scouting for this session!

We captured some sweet moments while Stephen was helping the mama-to-be up for some standing poses.

I love when clients have the ability to shoot at golden hour. There is nothing quite like a golden aura topping off a touching interaction.
